About the Pastoral Support Worker Role
As a Pastoral Support Worker, you will work closely with pupils who require additional guidance to overcome barriers to learning. You will support their emotional wellbeing, promote positive behaviour, and help them develop confidence, resilience, and motivation.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with learning, social, or emotional needs
Build strong, trusting relationships to encourage positive behaviour and self-confidence
Collaborate with teachers, SEN staff, and pastoral teams to provide targeted support
Contribute to a calm, nurturing, and inclusive school environment
