We are seeking an experienced and motivated Level 3 Setting Lead to take on a key leadership role within our early years setting in Wigan. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated childcare professional to lead a team, inspire good practice, and ensure the highest standards of care and education for children aged 0-5.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support the daily running of the nursery/room, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with policies and Ofsted requirements.
- Provide guidance, supervision and mentoring to staff, fostering a positive and collaborative team culture.
- Plan, deliver and oversee high-quality learning experiences in line with the EYFS.
- Monitor children\’s progress, maintaining accurate records and working closely with parents and carers.
- Promote a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment.
- Support with staff training, appraisals and development.
Requirements
- Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years (or equivalent).
- Proven experience in an early years setting, ideally with some supervisory/leadership responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding practices.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to lead, motivate and inspire a team.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
