We are recruiting a Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to join an Outstanding specialist college in Kingston. This is a fantastic long-term opportunity for a therapist who is passionate about supporting young adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex communication needs.

As a Speech and Language Therapist, you'll support young people aged 16+ as they prepare for adulthood, helping them develop the communication, independence and life skills needed for education, employment and everyday life.
Responsibilities:
Deliver person-centred Speech and Language Therapy interventions.
Assess communication and eating and drinking needs.
Support learners using Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).
Independently manage your own clinical caseload.
Train and coach teaching and support staff.
Work alongside families and external professionals to achieve the best outcomes for every learner.
Promote communication, independence and inclusion across the college. We're looking:
A degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent).
Current HCPC registration.
Eligibility for membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.
Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities and autism.
Knowledge of AAC and eating and drinking assessment.
A collaborative, proactive and person-centred approach to therapy. Unlike many therapy positions, this is a long-term opportunity where you'll have the chance to develop meaningful relationships with students and become a valued member of a supportive multidisciplinary team.
