A mainstream primary school in Middlesbrough is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to work on a full-time basis, providing targeted support to a Year 4 pupil with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and behavioural needs.

This role requires a calm, resilient, and consistent practitioner who can support both learning and emotional regulation, helping the pupil to access the curriculum and remain positively engaged throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support within the classroom
  • Support the implementation of strategies to manage behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Work closely with the class teacher, SENCo, and external professionals
  • Support academic progress and social development
  • Maintain clear communication with the school team regarding progress and concerns
  • Follow all safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times
