An immediate start is available for a Maths Learning Support Assistant in a Roman Catholic Sixth Form College in South West London. This is a full-time, long-term position with the potential to become permanent. Working days and hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting SEN students in Maths classes
- Working with teachers to ensure each student's learning needs are identified
- Attending to students' social, emotional and personal needs when required
- Supporting behaviour management and using appropriate strategies in line with academy policy
- Undertaking learning activities/teaching programmes when needed
The rates of pay for this position will be between £85.50 to £124.87 a day, depending on qualifications and experience.
The school is a Mixed Roman Catholic Sixth Form College for pupils aged 16 to 19 years old, located in the London Borough of Wandsworth. Established in 1985, it offers A Level, Diploma, IB and Adult Education courses. The school has an excellent pastoral care system, with each student having a Personal Tutor to assist them, along with their subject teachers. The site also features a Chapel and Prayer room for those of a religious background.
