September start. Excellent rates of pay. Enterprise & Science Specialist School. Opportunity for permanent employment and teacher training. Ideal for a recent Graduate or experienced Student Support Worker. This is a full‑time, long‑term position in a mixed secondary school and sixth form in South West London. Working hours are 8 am to 4 pm.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one‑to‑one support, small‑group and whole‑class intervention sessions.
  • Collaborate with teachers to ensure targets on pupils' EHCPs are met.
  • Offer students social, emotional and personal support as required.
  • Manage pupil behaviour effectively in accordance with the academies behaviour policy.
  • Undertake teaching sessions when needed.

Rates of Pay

£99.75 to £116.55 per day, depending on qualifications and experience.

The School

‘Outstanding’ secondary school & sixth form in the London Borough of Merton. Mixed, 11‑18, non‑selective with a wide demographic of pupils and staff. 90% of students stay in education or employment after Key Stage 4. Own dedicated SEN support centre and variety of sports facilities. Positive culture of learning and strong sense of community (Ofsted).

Requirements

  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Clear and up‑to‑date Enhanced DBS.
  • UK bachelor's degree or overseas equivalent.
  • Experience working with children/teenagers/young people aged 11–18 or as a Student Support Worker in UK schools.
  • Graduate or experienced Student Support Worker; also British trained or overseas trained Student Support Workers are welcome.
