We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our supportive primary school community in Notting Hill, working with a child in Year 4. The successful candidate will provide tailored support to help the pupil access learning, develop confidence, and thrive both academically and socially. This is a rewarding role for someone who is patient, proactive, and passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and/or small group support for a pupil with SEN in Year 4
- Support learning activities under the direction of the class teacher and SENCo
- Implement strategies and interventions to support academic and emotional development
- Encourage independence, engagement, and positive behaviour
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
- Support the pupil's inclusion within the classroom and wider school life
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Experience supporting children with SEN (e.g. ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, or SEMH)
- A calm, patient, and nurturing approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for working with children
- Relevant training or qualifications (desirable but not essential)
