We are seeking a confident and experienced Cache Level 3 Practitioner to join a school adjacent Nursery in Barnet (N12) or an experienced nursery practitioner ready to step up and take charge of a team of 2 in a busy baby room. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate Early Years professional ready to take the next step in their career and lead a room, supporting both children and staff in a nurturing, childâcentred environment.
Key Requirements
- CACHE Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification in Early Years/Childcare (essential)
- Proven experience working within a nursery or early years setting
- Previous experience leading a room or supporting room leadership (desirable)
About this Role
As a Cache Level 3 Practitioner, you will be responsible for:
- Leading the dayâtoâday running of the room, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and wellâorganised environment
- Supporting and guiding a small team of practitioners, promoting positive teamwork and consistency
- Planning and delivering engaging, ageâappropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework
- Monitoring children's progress through observations, assessments, and learning journeys
- Acting as a key person, building strong and professional relationships with children and their families
- Ensuring safeguarding, health & safety, and welfare requirements are consistently met
- Maintaining high standards of care, learning, and behaviour management across the room

- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development
- Confident leadership skills with the ability to support and motivate a team
- Experience with planning, assessment, and tracking children's progress
- A proactive, organised, and reliable approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
