We are seeking a HR Assistant to join a highly regarded and professional secondary school in Redbridge. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an outstanding school known for its strong leadership, excellent staff wellbeing, and commitment to professional development.
The role β HR Assistant
- Provide administrative support across all aspects of HR including recruitment, onboarding and staff records.
- Maintain accurate employee databases, contracts, and personnel files in line with safeguarding and GDPR requirements.
- Support recruitment processes β placing adverts, shortlisting, arranging interviews and obtaining references.
- Assist with payroll preparation and absence monitoring.
- Liaise confidently with staff, SLT and external agencies.
- Support the HR Manager with ad hoc projects and policy updates.
The ideal HR Assistant will have
- Previous HR or school office experience (experience within education highly desirable).
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office and HR systems (Bromcom or similar preferred).
- Understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality requirements.
- A positive, proactive and professional manner.
