EYFS Teaching Assistant
Location: Manchester, M11 Start Date: January Pay: £13.69-£15.87 per hour Hours: Monday-Friday, Full-Time Contract: Long-Term
Reeson Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the M11 area of Manchester. This is a fantastic full-time, long-term opportunity for an EYFS Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting young children at the very start of their learning journey.
Responsibilities
- Support teaching and learning across the EYFS as an EYFS Teaching Assistant
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils
- Assist with planning, preparation, and delivery of engaging EYFS activities
- Cover the class during PPA time when required as an EYFS Teaching Assistant
- Support children\’s personal, social, and emotional development
- Promote positive behaviour and a nurturing learning environment
- Help assess progress and contribute to observations and records
- Work closely with teachers, support staff, and parents
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating EYFS setting
- Follow safeguarding policies and procedures as a trusted EYFS Teaching Assistant
Requirements
- Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (extremely desirable)
- Proven experience working as an EYFS Teaching Assistant
- Confidence supporting pupils across Nursery and Reception
- Experience covering classes during PPA time is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of the EYFS framework
- Patient, nurturing, and enthusiastic approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
