Are you an experienced Early Years teacher looking for a new leadership opportunity? Are you passionate about giving young learners the very best start to their education? A welcoming and well-established primary school in the borough of Islington is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated EYFS Lead Teacher to join their team from September 2025. This is a full-time, permanent position offering the chance to lead the EYFS phase while teaching a Reception class in a supportive and forward-thinking school community.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Teaching a Reception class within a well-resourced, inclusive EYFS setting
  • Creating a welcoming, stimulating and child-centred learning environment
  • Leading the EYFS phase, mentoring colleagues and supporting best practice across Nursery and Reception
  • Planning engaging lessons in line with the EYFS framework, alongside your year group partner
  • Supporting pupils with SEND and additional needs through differentiated teaching
  • Leading targeted interventions for lower-attaining groups
  • Managing behaviour effectively and promoting children's emotional development
  • Building positive relationships with parents, carers and external professionals
