Reeson Education is currently recruiting a passionate Graduate Teaching Assistant to work within a supportive primary school in Havering. This role is ideal for a motivated Graduate Teaching Assistant looking to gain valuable classroom experience while supporting pupils with their learning and development. Role Overview - Graduate Teaching Assistant

The Graduate Teaching Assistant will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to support pupils who require additional guidance in the classroom. The Graduate Teaching Assistant will assist with 1:1 support, small group interventions, and classroom activities to ensure pupils remain engaged and confident in their learning.

Responsibilities of the Graduate Teaching Assistant
  • Providing 1:1 and small group learning support
  • Assisting teachers with classroom preparation and learning activities
  • Supporting pupils with autism, ADHD, SEMH and communication needs
  • Helping pupils remain engaged and confident during lessons
  • Working collaboratively with teaching staff and the SENCO
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and participation in learning
Requirements for the Graduate Teaching Assistant
  • A degree in Psychology, Education, Childhood Studies or a related subject
  • Interest in pursuing careers in teaching or educational psychology
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
