Reeson Education is looking for a dependable SEN Teaching Assistant to join our Hampshire talent pool for opportunities across Southampton. A SEN Teaching Assistant may work with different pupils from one assignment to another, including children who require support with communication, learning, attention, emotional regulation or social interaction. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, your role is to remove barriers to learning while encouraging pupils to participate as independently as possible.

Day-to-Day SEN Teaching Assistant Duties:

  • Providing focused 1:1 support.
  • Delivering teacher-planned small-group activities.
  • Breaking learning into manageable steps.
  • Using visual prompts or structured routines where appropriate.
  • Supporting communication and interaction.
  • Helping pupils remain engaged during lessons.
