Design & Technology Technician Required
About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Design & Technology Technician to join our vibrant department in Bolton. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for supporting teaching and learning in Design & Technology, ensuring students have access to well-prepared resources and a safe, organised workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare, set up, and maintain tools, materials, and equipment for D&T lessons (including resistant materials, CAD/CAM, and electronics where applicable).

Ensure all machinery and equipment are safe and maintained in line with health and safety regulations.

Support teaching staff during practical sessions, including demonstrating safe use of equipment.

Manage stock, order materials, and maintain accurate records of resources.

Contribute to a safe, clean, and positive learning environment for students.
Requirements:

Previous experience as a D&T Technician or in a similar technical/engineering environment preferred.

Strong practical skills with workshop tools and machinery.

Knowledge of health and safety procedures within a workshop setting.

Excellent organisational skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
