Reeson Education are seeking a skilled English Teacher to work in a focused and supportive school environment in Rotherham (S65) starting from September 2026. This role is ideal for a teacher who can deliver structured and engaging English lessons while maintaining high expectations and supporting students to achieve their full potential.
About the English Teacher Role:
As an English Teacher, you will deliver high-quality English lessons across a range of abilities, helping pupils build confidence, communication skills, analytical thinking, and a strong understanding of English Language and Literature. You will maintain clear routines, encourage positive behaviour, and create a productive learning environment that supports academic success.
Key Responsibilities as English Teacher:
- Structured English Teaching: Deliver engaging and well-planned English lessons tailored to student needs.
- Classroom Management: Maintain positive behaviour, routines, and high expectations within the classroom.
- Targeted Support: Provide additional guidance and intervention to support student progress and attainment.
- Progress Monitoring: Assess, monitor, and track pupil achievement and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaboration: Work closely with teaching staff, parents, and school leaders to support student development.
To succeed as an English Teacher, you will need:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching English within mainstream, SEN, SEMH, or alternative provision settings is desirable.
- Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- A positive, organised, and resilient approach to teaching.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply through Reeson Education.
