The Role
As Community Engagement Officer, you'll play a leading role in creating opportunities both inside and outside the college. You'll be responsible for:
- Developing partnerships with businesses, charities and community organisations across Kingston upon Thames
- Creating exciting enrichment activities, events and student experiences
- Organising educational visits, residential trips and college activities
- Encouraging student participation and promoting student voice
- Building an alumni community and maintaining relationships with former students
- Supporting Student Ambassadors and college events
- Working alongside the Marketing Team to celebrate student success and community involvement
No two days are the same, and you'll have the freedom to shape new projects that benefit students and strengthen the college's presence within Kingston upon Thames.
About You
The ideal Community Engagement Officer will be:

Knowledge of Kingston upon Thames and the surrounding community would be a significant advantage. Existing connections with local businesses, employers, charities, leisure facilities or community groups would be highly valued, as developing these partnerships will be a key part of your role. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle would be beneficial, as you'll regularly be visiting organisations across Kingston upon Thames and the surrounding area. However, this is not essential.
