A friendly and supportive primary school in Elephant & Castle is seeking a committed Graduate Teaching Assistant to become part of their KS1 team for the 2026/27 academic year. About the Position

  • Providing support during KS1 lessons and classroom activities
  • Working with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning
  • Helping children build their confidence across literacy, numeracy and communication
  • Assisting with lesson preparation, classroom resources and everyday routines
  • Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging pupils to engage with their learning
  • Supporting the wider classroom environment and contributing to pupils' progress

The Ideal Candidate

  • A UK-recognised degree - essential
  • Previous experience working with children, whether through schools, tutoring, childcare, coaching, mentoring or a similar setting

  • Enthusiasm, initiative and a positive attitude
  • A genuine interest in helping children learn, develop and succeed
