Are you a qualified Reception Teacher looking for a teaching opportunity within a successful and supportive primary school? If so, we'd love to hear from you! We are working with a primary school in Brent seeking a teacher to join their Reception team from September 2026.

Responsibilities of this Reception Teacher role:

  • Stay up to date with educational research and policies through training, workshops, and reading, while actively implementing all school and local authority initiatives.
  • Promote a positive school culture by modelling excellent teaching practice, motivating staff, and representing the school in meetings with governors and external networks.
  • Plan and deliver a high-quality, engaging, and inclusive Reception curriculum that supports children's early development across the prime and specific areas of learning.
  • Monitor pupil progress closely, using assessment observations and Reception frameworks to identify and implement effective interventions that support communication, language, personal development, and early literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Create a nurturing, stimulating, and safe learning environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, independence, and positive behaviour for learning.
  • Support children's social, emotional, and academic development through play-based and child-centred learning experiences.
  • Collaborate regularly with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to support individual learning needs and communicate pupil progress and curriculum developments.

The Ideal Candidate for this Reception Teacher role will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - Essential
  • Have experience teaching within Reception
  • Have strong knowledge of the Reception Framework, including early phonics and child development
  • Be committed to delivering engaging, inclusive learning experiences that inspire young learners
  • Show excellent classroom and behaviour management
  • Be a team player with a reflective, proactive approach
  • Demonstrate a nurturing and creative teaching style
