Fantastic opportunity to work in a top London school as a Performing Arts Technician to support the Head of Drama. This is a part-time position with an ASAP start in Central London.
Performing Arts Technician required for an outstanding school, supporting the Head of Department with stage managing the School Play and overseeing the technical elements of the production, as well as providing technical support for GCSE examined performances. The school is looking to review CVs ASAP and meet candidates over the next couple of weeks.
School Information: This is an outstanding all-girls school based in the heart of London, known for its academic excellence and state-of-the-art facilities. The school has a brilliant reputation within the local community and was judged to be 'outstanding' by OFSTED in October 2022. Pupil behaviour is excellent, and the supportive SLT team is approachable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing technical support to both staff and students, including making recordings of practical exams and transferring digital media from one format to another.
- Operating light and sound equipment during practical exams and the school play.
- Stage managing the annual school play, coordinating and managing all technical elements, and managing groups of students assigned to each technical element. Training will be provided where necessary.
Requirements: The school is looking for someone with a Drama or Theatre background who can communicate effectively and positively with students, teachers, suppliers, and members of the public. You must enjoy working with young people and have an appetite for learning new skills, with a positive, can-do attitude.
