The school is looking for a Drama Technician to support the Head of Departments with stage managing the School Play, overseeing the technical elements of the production, and providing technical support for GCSE examined performances. The school wants to review drama technician CVs ASAP and meet candidates over the next couple of weeks.
School Information: This is an outstanding all-girls school based in the heart of London. The school has an academic history of excellence in addition to state-of-the-art facilities. This oversubscribed school has four applicants for every space available and boasts a brilliant reputation within the local community. The school was judged to be 'outstanding' by OFSTED in October 2022. They are proud of their ethos of continual self-improvement, which characterises every aspect of their rich and culturally diverse school.
Key responsibilities:
- Providing technical support to both staff and students, including making recordings of the practical exams and transferring digital media from one format to another.
- Operating light and sound equipment during practical exams and the school play.
- Stage managing the annual school play, coordinating and managing all technical elements, and managing groups of students assigned to each technical element. Training will be provided where necessary.
Requirements: The school is looking for someone with a Drama or Theatre background who has the ability to communicate effectively and positively with students, teachers, suppliers, and members of the public. You must also enjoy working with young people and have an appetite for learning new skills, with a positive, can-do attitude.
