Role Overview
Support students with SEN in and around the swimming pool, manage behaviours positively, supervise access and changing areas, tidy floats/resources and support the swimming teacher to deliver sessions.
Key Responsibilities
- Support students with special needs in and around the Swimming Pool
- Manage behaviours using positive strategies
- Supervise students getting in and out of pool and in changing areas
- Set up and tidy away swimming floats/resources
- Support the Swimming teacher in delivering sessions
- Encourage pupils to get in and out of Pool between sessions to ensure timetable runs on time
- Working as a team to ensure every child progresses and enjoys their swimming
Qualifications & Preferences
No previous SEN experience needed; experience as a TA or Sports Coach would be great. Must be able to swim and get in the water with pupils.
