Looking to make a real difference in children's lives? Reeson Education are thrilled to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join an outstanding one-form-entry primary school in Islington. This full‑time role is in the ASD unit, providing specialist support for children with additional needs.

Responsibilities

  • Support the class teacher in delivering lessons and activities as a proactive Teaching Assistant.
  • Provide one‑to‑one and small group support for pupils in the ASD unit as a committed Teaching Assistant.
  • Assist in planning and implementing engaging, tailored learning activities as a skilled Teaching Assistant.
  • Observe, record, and provide feedback on pupil progress in your role as a Teaching Assistant.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant supporting children with SEN, ideally in ASD settings.
  • Knowledge of SEN strategies and understanding of supporting children with additional needs as a Teaching Assistant.
  • Strong communication, patience, and teamwork skills essential for success as a Teaching Assistant.
  • Ability to motivate, nurture, and engage children in a structured classroom environment as a Teaching Assistant.
