A supportive and inclusive school in Barnet is seeking a dedicated BSL Learning Support Assistant to join their team from September 2026. This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced support assistant with BSL Level 2 qualification or above who is passionate about helping deaf and hearing‑impaired students access learning and thrive within the classroom environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and classroom support for pupils with hearing impairments
  • Use British Sign Language to support communication and learning
  • Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to implement support strategies
  • Encourage pupil confidence, independence and engagement
  • Support pupils both academically and socially throughout the school day

Qualifications

  • Hold a BSL Level 2 qualification or higher
