We are seeking a Specialist SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated and inclusive team in Bolton. The Role
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with special educational needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), communication difficulties, and sensory needs.
- Support pupils' emotional regulation, social skills, and learning engagement.
- Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to implement Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Assist with communication aids, sensory-based learning, and behaviour strategies.
- Create a nurturing and safe environment where every child feels valued and understood.
About You
- Experienced in supporting pupils with SEN (Autism, speech & language, or SEMH experience desirable).
- Calm, empathetic, and resilient with a positive attitude.
- Able to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff.
- Knowledgeable in strategies such as PECS, Makaton, or TEACCH (training available).
- A team player who believes in inclusion and personalised learning.
