Reeson Education are seeking a skilled Humanities Teacher to work in a focused and supportive school environment in Doncaster (DN5) starting from September 2026. This role is ideal for a teacher who can deliver structured and engaging Humanities lessons while maintaining high expectations and supporting students to achieve their full potential.

About the Humanities Teacher Role:

As a Humanities Teacher, you will deliver high-quality Humanities lessons across a range of abilities, helping pupils build confidence, critical thinking skills, and a strong understanding of subjects such as History, Geography, and Religious Education. You will maintain clear routines, encourage positive behaviour, and create a productive learning environment that supports academic success.

Key Responsibilities as Humanities Teacher:

  • Structured Humanities Teaching: Deliver engaging and well-planned Humanities lessons tailored to student needs.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain positive behaviour, routines, and high expectations within the classroom.
  • Targeted Support: Provide additional guidance and intervention to support student progress and attainment.
  • Progress Monitoring: Assess, monitor, and track pupil achievement and provide constructive feedback.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with teaching staff, parents, and school leaders to support student development.

To succeed as a Humanities Teacher, you will need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Humanities within mainstream, SEN, SEMH, or alternative provision settings is desirable.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • A positive, organised, and resilient approach to teaching.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply through Reeson Education.
