A Teaching Assistant is needed in a Mixed Church of England Secondary & Sixth Form in South East London. This Teaching Assistant position can be part or full time and will be long term with scope to go permanent.
Responsibilities for this Teaching Assistant post will include but not be limited to:
- Supporting SEN and LAP students in group or whole class intervention sessions
- Working with the teachers to ensure each student's learning needs are identified
- Attending to students' social, emotional and personal needs when required
- Supporting behaviour management and using appropriate strategies in line with academy policy
- Undertaking learning activities/teaching programmes when needed
The rates of pay for this Teaching Assistant role will be between £85.50 and £116.55 a day, depending on the qualifications and experiences of each applicant.
The School: A Church of England Secondary Academy located in the London Borough of Bexley. It is a mixed non-selective school located in what is otherwise a selective borough and the only Church of England secondary school in the borough. Although classed as an Academy, it is also a Comprehensive School. The school's motto is "God working with us, and through us." There are currently just over 1000 pupils on enrolment.
