An Exam Invigilator is needed in a Coeducational Secondary School & Sixth Form in South West London from the 7th of May 2026 to the 17th of July 2026. Shifts can be part or full time. If appointed, you will be required to supervise GCSE and A Level exams.

Standard Exam Invigilator responsibilities include but aren't limited to:

  • Arranging exam halls for pupils to enter and be seated at the right desk
  • Ensuring pupils are entering and leaving the exam halls in a calm manner
  • Providing pupils with the right instructions and resources for them to complete their papers
  • Escorting pupils to the toilets when needed
  • Monitoring general behaviour to prevent cheating and disruptions
  • Organising completed papers in the correct categories for collection and marking
  • Properly storing used equipment (calculators etc) after the exam is finished
  • Working alongside the Exams Team to effectively coordinate rotas for cover

The rates of pay for this position will be £14.25 or £16.65 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.

The School is an 'Outstanding' Mixed Academy School & Sixth Form for pupils aged 11 to 19 years old, located in the London Borough of Wandsworth. It is heavily subscribed with a high percentage of pupils applying to Russell Group universities. The proportion of pupils achieving this at the end of Year 11 is well above the national average. Extra-curricular activities play a large part of the school's life, including music and sports events, as well as museum trips. The school produces results that placed it within the top 1% nationally for the fifth year running.

Requirements: This is a great opportunity for a Graduate looking to gain experience in schools or an experienced Exam Invigilator. Applications are welcome from British trained or overseas trained Exam Invigilators. All applicants must ideally have the following to be considered:

  • Clear and up to date Enhanced DBS
  • UK Bachelor's Degree or an overseas equivalent
