We are currently recruiting a Pastoral Support Officer for a temporary position based in Basildon, supporting students with behaviour, attendance, safeguarding and wellbeing in a centre setting.

This Pastoral Support Officer role in Basildon is hands-on and fast-paced, working closely with the Centre Manager, tutors and senior staff to maintain a safe, calm and positive learning environment. The successful Pastoral Support Officer will be on duty throughout the school day, supporting students in classrooms and communal areas.

Key responsibilities of the Pastoral Support Officer include:

  • Supporting behaviour management and student engagement
  • Supervising common areas and responding to incidents
  • Recording attendance, behaviour and safeguarding concerns
  • Providing immediate support to teaching staff when required
  • Ensuring student safety across the site in Basildon
