An outstanding Independent Prep School in North London is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to support a student in Year 4. The school offers its staff brilliant support and its pupils fantastic teaching.

The Year 4 student is capable, sporty, and has a great personality. The school has a stable, strong, and dynamic leadership team and is regarded as extremely successful in nurturing talent and encouraging inquiry. There is a collegiate atmosphere which makes for an inclusive working environment, supported by an excellent SENDCO.

Person Specification

  • You will need to have worked as a Teaching Assistant in a Primary or Secondary School and have specific experience working with students on the ASD spectrum.
  • Experienced candidates are encouraged to apply as the school could offer opportunities to develop the role into a position with responsibility for a team.
  • Ideally, you will have experience of working in a mixed ability primary or secondary school.
  • If you have worked in Key Stage 2 in primary schools before, then this would be an ideal role for you.
  • You will have good ASD knowledge and some experience of PECS and Makaton.
  • Ability to work well as part of a large multi-skilled team.
  • Flexible and adaptable.
  • Ambitious and driven.
  • Bright, energetic individuals who either have experience working in secondary schools or who are educated to degree level and have an interest in working with SEN children/young people are very successful at this school.

Support and training will be provided by both the school and Reeson Education.
