Overview
Autism Support Worker. An SEN school in Bromley is looking for an Autism Support Worker to join their growing team in secondary aged classrooms in Key Stages 3-4.
School and Setting
Bromley run a special educational needs school with well-resourced lessons and small class sizes. The school provides a supportive community and a dedicated team of teachers in the class.
Responsibilities
- Work with young people across KS3-4 in the classroom to support learning goals.
- Support pupils on a 1:1 or classroom basis with motivation and learning.
- Assist students in activities that develop independence and the ability to be lifelong learners.
Ideal Autism Support Worker / Qualifications
- Experience as an Autism support worker in an SEN school is desirable but not essential.
- Passion for helping students with SEN needs.
- Patient, calm and engaging classroom manner.
- Strong communication skills.
- Registered DBS or be prepared to carry out a new DBS application.
- Ability to build rapport with individual pupils.
Employment Details
- Long-term, full-time position running for the remainder of the academic year and into the new academic year.
- Starts after the half-term break.
