This position involves monitoring attendance data, identifying patterns of concern, and implementing targeted interventions to improve engagement. The role requires close collaboration with students, families, and external agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record, maintain and update data for attendance and punctuality of pupils.
- Communicate with parents and carers of pupils regarding absence when necessary.
- Work with the wider team to effectively resolve issues that cause pupil absences.
- Contact the Local Authority when needed.
- Reach out to Primary schools of new pupils in Year 7 to track attendance records.
Requirements:
- Must have school-based experience.
