Your Role as a Supply Teacher
As a Supply Teacher, you will help pupils stay engaged during teacher absence, delivering appropriate learning within the school's established approach.
- Teach planned lessons in your agreed phase or subject and check pupils understand the tasks.
- Maintain a purposeful learning environment and follow school behaviour procedures.
- Support inclusion by adapting explanations and using guidance about individual learning needs.
- Leave accurate feedback and complete any planning or assessment agreed before the booking.
What We Are Looking For in a Supply Teacher
- QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification, with experience in your preferred phase.
- A dependable Supply Teacher who can adapt quickly and maintain clear classroom expectations.
- Relevant curriculum knowledge, effective communication and safeguarding awareness.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one, alongside satisfactory safeguarding checks.
