The Role
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with behavioural and emotional needs.
- Work closely with teachers and support staff to implement positive behaviour strategies.
- Develop and deliver tailored interventions to help students manage their emotions and behaviour effectively.
- Foster a supportive and nurturing environment, helping students build self-confidence and social skills.
- Act as a positive role model, guiding students towards improved behaviour and engagement in learning.
About You
To succeed as a Behaviour Mentor, you will:
- Have experience working with children or young people, preferably in an SEN or behavioural support role.
- Be patient, empathetic, and committed to helping students overcome challenges.
- Possess strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Be confident in implementing behaviour management techniques and de-escalation strategies.
- Be adaptable, proactive, and able to work effectively within a team.
