Reeson Education are currently recruiting for an experienced SEN Teacher to join a well-regarded special needs school in Harrow. This is a full-time, temp-to-perm SEN Teacher position starting in September. The school provides specialist education for young people with additional learning needs, with a strong focus on life skills, communication, functional learning and preparation for adulthood.

About the SEN Teacher role

As an SEN Teacher in Harrow, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons designed around the needs and learning goals of students within the school's Post 16 provision. The SEN Teacher will be responsible for:

  • Planning and delivering structured lessons
  • Developing programmes focused on life skills and preparation for adulthood
  • Teaching functional English and Maths
  • Supporting communication and social development
  • Creating suitable learning activities for students with a range of SEN
  • Monitoring student progress and adapting teaching approaches
  • Working with teaching assistants and other school staff
