Position Summary: The Contractor Development Manager is responsible for driving demand creation across UK & Ireland by developing strategic relationships with Contractors/ Installers, Builders, Architects and Key Trade Partners. The role requires close collaboration with the Sales & Marketing Manager, Distributor Partners, Merchant Networks, and the wider programs team at HQ.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and expand the TrexPro Installer Program across the UK & Ireland.
- Build strong relationships with installers, builders, garden designers, and landscape contractors.
- Host contractor training, CPDs, workshops, and merchant-led events.
- Engage architects, specifiers, and landscape architects to drive Trex specifications across residential, multi-unit, and commercial projects.
- Support the specification pathway from early design to project conversion.
- Partner closely with the Sales & Marketing Manager UK/Ireland to align priorities, market activity, and pull-through strategy.
- Work collaboratively with Distributor Partners and merchant networks to strengthen market penetration and pipeline visibility.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of field sales or contractor engagement experience in building materials or construction.
- Strong understanding of contractor, installer, and specification pathways in the UK & Ireland.
- Experience working with merchants and/or distributors.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
- Ability to deliver training, influence contractor partners, and support internal teams.
- CRM proficiency; comfortable managing a pipeline and reporting activity.
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel throughout the UK & Ireland.
