Reepham High School & College is an 11-18 comprehensive school, 12 miles north of Norwich. It has approximately 1100 students in total, including 240 students in the sixth form, known as ‘Reepham College’. The school serves a very wide catchment area of nearly 400 square kilometres and 85% of our young people travel by bus. The school is a true comprehensive school with pupils of all abilities and backgrounds. The intake of the school is broadly in line with the national average in terms of prior attainment. We are currently working to improve our GCSE results, although performance at A Level is consistently in the top 10% nationally for progress made.
Reepham High School & College have a vacancy for a Cover Supervisor. The Cover Supervisor will be responsible for the supervision of whole classes to cover short term absence of teachers and to allow teachers to carry out professional duties and training. Cover Supervisors are required to give instruction for lessons, as provided by the teacher, and keep pupils on task while maintaining good order.
The successful applicant will be highly organised and efficient, resilient and confident and enjoy working within a busy school and college environment. This can be a fulfilling role in itself or serve as a springboard to a teaching career or other work with young people in the future. The ability to work as a team and learn new skills is essential, experience of working with young people in a school environment and proven success in using teaching resources and supporting learners would be advantageous, but full training will be provided.
