Job Description: We’re looking for a social media expert to turn our ideas, expertise, products, and community into sharp, useful content that writers actually want to engage with. That means finding the right balance between education, inspiration, and entertainment.

You will:

  • Own and grow Reedsy’s presence across our key social channels.
  • Turn Reedsy’s expertise, products, and community into clear, engaging content for writers and publishing professionals.
  • Develop recurring formats, campaigns, and creative concepts that feel recognizably Reedsy, working alongside our writers and design team to further define and evolve the brand.
  • Track performance, identify what resonates, and use those insights to continuously refine our content and social strategy.

Requirements:

  • Both a very analytical and highly creative individual, able to use performance data to inform great content.
  • Proven experience growing a brand to a large audience, ideally in a fast-growing startup environment.
  • A track record of social campaigns that created measurable impact — and examples to prove it.
  • Excellent editorial instincts and a strong command of written English.
  • A deep understanding of what makes social content useful, engaging, and shareable.
  • The ability to explain complex ideas simply without dumbing them down.
  • A genuine interest in writing, publishing, books, or the creator economy.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience creating short-form video content.
  • Familiarity with the publishing industry or the challenges independent authors face.
  • Fluent in multiple languages.
  • A good dose of ambition, a willingness to learn, and a great sense of humor.
