Responsibilities:
- Conduct one to one sessions with Sixth Form students to assist them with the speaking component of their AQA A Level examination.
- Conduct small group sessions with students in Forms 3-5 to assist them with the speaking component of their IGCSE examination.
- Maintain knowledge of IGCSE and AQA A-Level requirements, with particular regard to the speaking elements.
- Promote Modern Foreign Languages to students.
- Motivate, encourage and provide constructive feedback to students.
- Be familiar with the aims and objectives of the Department as outlined in the departmental handbook.
- Attend suitable INSET as required under the guidance of the Head of Department.
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young persons for whom you are responsible and with whom you come into contact.
- Undertake such other comparable duties as the Headmaster requires from time to time.
Job Details:
- Part time: 4 hours max per week, fixed term contract from 15th September 2026 up to end of May 2027.
- The candidate appointed will be a native level speaker of Spanish and will help students in the preparation for their speaking exams and develop their cultural knowledge.
- The candidate will have a desire to be part of a team of committed professionals within the MFL Department.
- You will be required to work for 4 hours per week, during lunch time over 3 days a week, term time only.
- This position is based on an hourly rate commensurate with experience.
- This role does not come with sponsorship.
