The West Midlands Growth Company (WMGC) is the region’s economic development delivery organisation.

From April 2026, we will lead the delivery of regionally commissioned economic development activity aligned to the West Midlands Growth Plan, working in partnership with the West Midlands Combined Authority and local authorities.

The Role

As our new Programme Marketing Executive, you'll play a key role in delivering marketing campaigns, coordinating events, managing digital content, and supporting stakeholder engagement activities across a portfolio of programmes.

Working closely with colleagues, partners, businesses, and suppliers, you'll help ensure programme activity is effectively promoted and delivers a first-class experience for participants.

You’ll Be Involved In

  • Supporting the delivery of marketing campaigns and communications for regional programmes.
  • Planning and coordinating events, webinars, workshops, and networking activities.
  • Creating engaging content across digital and social media channels.
  • Managing stakeholder communications and participant engagement activities.
  • Supporting programme teams through effective administration, reporting, and CRM management.
  • What You'll Be Doing
  • Coordinating events, registrations, attendee communications, and event logistics.
  • Creating and distributing marketing materials, social media content, and promotional campaigns.
  • Updating website content and supporting digital marketing activities.
  • Maintaining CRM systems, databases, and participant records.
  • Producing reports, attendee data, and marketing performance information.
  • Working with internal teams, partners, venues, and suppliers to maximise programme engagement.
  • Providing high-quality administrative and customer support to programme stakeholders.
  • What You'll Bring

Essential

  • Experience in marketing, communications, events, stakeholder engagement, or business support.
  • Experience planning and coordinating events, workshops, webinars, or networking activities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good understanding of digital marketing, social media, and website content management.
  • Experience producing marketing materials and engaging content.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience maintaining CRM systems, databases, or accurate records.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • A-Level qualification or equivalent experience.

Desirable

  • Qualification in Marketing, Communications, Events Management, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience using CRM systems, CMS platforms, Canva, or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Understanding of campaign performance reporting and social media analytics.
  • Experience working within business support, economic development, public sector, or membership organisations.
  • Experience supporting funded programmes, projects, or stakeholder engagement initiatives.
