Overview
Our key client based in Crawley are seeking a temporary Warehouse Operative to join their logistics team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the efficient operation of their warehouse, including the receipt, storage, and dispatch of a wide range of goods.
Day-to-day of the role
- Loading and unloading goods from delivery vehicles.
- Checking for damaged or missing items and then sorting stock for storage in the warehouse.
- Taking inventory and maintaining accurate records of the goods entering and leaving the warehouse.
- Picking and packing orders with attention to detail.
- Ensuring that all orders are processed efficiently and that the delivery of materials meets customers’ timescales/requirements.
- Operating handling equipment and ensuring safety regulations are followed.
- Overseeing the cleanliness and maintenance of the warehouse and work area.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working as a Warehouse Operative or similar role is preferred.
- Good physical condition and stamina.
- Basic math skills and the ability to accurately count inventory.
- Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a dynamic environment.
