My client is seeking a proactive and hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to assist in the daily operations of our warehouse, ensuring the timely processing and dispatch of orders. This role is pivotal in maintaining the smooth running of operations and achieving daily service levels under the guidance of the Warehouse and Fulfilment Manager.
Day-to-Day of the Role:
- Complete picking and packing tasks as necessary and serve as the first point of contact for employee queries and issue resolution.
- Review, prioritise, and release orders, scheduling various ancillary activities based on resource availability and service level attainment.
- Communicate daily with the Client Services team to agree on lead times and address shipment issues.
- Manage the end-to-end process of stock takes, including organising labour, counts, data consolidation, investigations, and presenting conclusions.
- Conduct quality checks and ad-hoc requests as needed.
- Investigate any stock losses or damages thoroughly and report findings to the line manager, escalating complex issues as necessary.
- In the absence of the Production Manager, assume additional responsibilities such as securing the premises.
- Provide leadership support to teams, motivating staff to achieve production goals, and offer training and coaching as required.
- Ensure adherence to all health and safety measures by the team.
- Maintain high levels of professionalism in all communications with colleagues, clients, and site visitors.
- Keep the warehouse tidy and safe, ensuring stock is stored securely and accessibly.
- Report updates and progress to the line manager to facilitate effective planning and collaboration.
- Perform other duties as necessary to ensure the efficient operation of the warehouse.
