As a Warehouse Operative you will be working in a vibrant and demanding environment where attention to detail is key to delivering the efficient service our client is renowned for.

Main Responsibilities

  • Picking orders
  • Manual handling
  • Completing loading administration tasks
  • Use of Prophet software, on hand scanners/desktop
  • Safe operation of ride-on pallet and forklift trucks
  • Unloading trucks
  • Emptying store bins
  • Moving recycling plastic to a container
  • General housekeeping duties
  • Operating cardboard compactor
  • Operating general Waste Compactor
  • Supplying the Pack House
  • Ensuring all tasks are completed safely, adhering to all Company policies
  • Monitor plant function and report any breakdown
  • Any other warehouse duties commensurate with the smooth operation of the Warehouse.

Essential Experience/Qualifications

  • Current or recently elapsed ride on pallet truck licence
  • Current driving licence
  • Good numeracy
  • Good physical fitness
  • Basic understanding of computer operations (Windows)
  • Willingness to learn to drive counter-balance forklifts

Desirable Experience/Qualifications

  • Use of Prophet software for load building/picking/receiving of goods
  • Driving counter-balance forklifts
  • Scan picking/receiving and load building in a fresh produce environment
  • Use of live stock management system

Salary

Those with essential qualifications will have a starting salary no less than £26,000. Increased salaries will be considered for candidates with the additional desired qualifications and experience.

Hours of Work

12 hour shifts between 12.00-00.00, on a 4 days on, 4 days off basis. Due to operational requirements you may occasionally be asked to work outside these hours.

Reporting to

You will report to the Warehouse Manager/Warehouse Shift Managers.

Holiday Entitlement

20 days per annum. Leave year runs from January to December.
