Overview
Are you looking for a new Warehouse Assistant\βs role?
Are you available immediately and happy to do temporary work?
If so, please do apply as I have several clients in the area that always require reliable, hard-working individuals to work with their Warehouse teams.
Main responsibilities of this role will include:
- Accurately pick, pack and prepare customer orders for dispatch
- Receive, check, and store incoming deliveries
- Operate warehouse equipment (e.g. forklifts, pallet trucks, scanners) safely and efficiently
- Maintain accurate stock levels and assist with regular inventory checks
- Ensure all goods are stored correctly and the warehouse is kept clean and organised
- Follow health & safety procedures at all times
- Assist with loading and unloading vehicles
- Support other departments when required to meet business needs
- Ensure proper labelling and packaging of goods for shipment.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organised and safe
The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred but not essential β full training will be provided
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling goods.
- Ability to lift heavy items and perform physically.
- Possess a valid forklift operator\βs license or willingness to obtain one.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems or similar software applications
- Basic IT skills (e.g. using handheld scanners or stock systems) are a plus
