Vocational Lecturer – Engineering (Bus & Coach)
Location: Northwest England
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time (37 hours/week, 48 weeks/year)
Salary: up to £41,000
Are you ready to lead the next generation of Bus & Coach engineering professionals? We’re seeking a passionate and experienced Programme Leader to take ownership of apprenticeship programme delivery, curriculum development, and learner success within the Bus & Coach sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the delivery of Bus & Coach apprenticeship programmes.
- Design and implement high-quality curriculum content aligned with industry standards.
- Deliver consistently outstanding teaching, learning, and assessment experiences.
- Guide and support learners through a variety of methods to maximise their potential.
- Provide course management and ensure high achievement and success rates.
- Coach and mentor academic staff to enhance teaching practices.
- Drive innovation in digital learning and interactive content creation.
- Collaborate with employers and industry partners to ensure curriculum relevance.
- Lead recruitment and marketing efforts to attract learners and improve conversion rates.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, equality, diversity, and health & safety policies.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in a relevant area (preferably Bus & Coach).
- Recognised teaching qualification.
- Level 2 Maths & English or equivalent.
- Experience designing and delivering educational programmes in FE or apprenticeships.
- Knowledge of Bus & Coach apprenticeship standards.
- Strong digital skills and familiarity with platforms such as ProMonitor, OneFile, and MS Office.
- Proven industry experience and ability to inspire learners.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
All candidates who register with Reed Further Education will have 2 years’ referencing taken up and will be required to have a DBS check completed. All offers are conditional upon satisfactory background checks.
