School Technician

We are seeking a support technician to provide essential first and second-line technical support to both staff and pupils. This role is crucial as one of the three main points of contact for all tech support. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing mobile technology and covering both hardware and software used within the school, supporting our Teaching and Learning division.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Serve as one of the primary points of contact for all service desk tickets.
- Provide first and second-line technical support to staff and pupils, ensuring efficient resolution of issues.
- Prioritise support calls effectively and escalate complex issues to the Systems Manager as necessary.
- Support mobile technology along with other hardware and software systems used within the school.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to support the school’s requirements for access to information and interactive multimedia learning resources.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in IT support roles, handling both first and second-line support.
- Strong understanding of mobile technology as well as other hardware and software used in educational environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with both technical and non-technical staff.
- Experience in educational settings is essential
