We are currently recruiting for a Technical Manager to join a specialist construction business supporting a diverse portfolio of clients across the public sector, social housing, and general construction in London and the South East.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a background in Construction or Project Management, strong commercial awareness, and a consultative approach to guide clients from project feasibility through to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of technical support services across a portfolio of construction projects
- Act as a liaison between clients and contractors to ensure smooth project delivery and high standards
- Provide expert technical input throughout all stages of building programmes
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure client expectations are met
- Support contractors in adhering to compliance, technical standards, and pricing frameworks
- Maintain accurate records and audit trails using CRM systems
- Share best practices and ensure national standards are consistently applied
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders
- Manage and support a team of up to 10 individuals
Candidate Profile:
- Valid UK driving licence (you must be able to drive across London and South East to various site locations)
- Qualifications in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field
- Proven experience managing construction projects from feasibility to completion
- Background in social housing, public sector, or local authority construction projects
- Proficient in using CRM systems or similar project databases
- Strong interpersonal and client-facing skills
- Experience managing and developing teams
