Team Manager – Children & Families Hub (MASH)
  • Salary: Up to £55,890 per annum
  • Location: Bromley Civic Centre, flexible working
  • Hours: Full Time

About the Role

The Children and Families Hub serves as a single gateway for early help and protection, ensuring timely and appropriate interventions for families in need. As a Team Manager, you will:

  • Screen referrals to assess both early help requests and safeguarding concerns using a variety of tools.
  • Identify the most effective support for families, working closely with a multi-agency team including Social Workers, Business Support Officers, and a Business Support Manager.
  • Collaborate with core partners such as Police, Health, Education, and Youth Justice Service to inform threshold recommendations and ensure the right interventions are provided swiftly.

This role is ideal for candidates with experience in managing or working within social work settings, particularly in MASH, Referral and Assessment, and Safeguarding Teams. A clear understanding of thresholds is crucial.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in a social work management or senior practitioner role, ideally within MASH or similar settings.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain effective relationships with partner agencies.
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines without compromising judgement.

  • Proficiency in various IT systems for contemporaneous recording on social care systems.
