Reed Education/Lancashire Teaching Agency are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to a Primary School in Bacup, celebrated for its “Good” Ofsted rating. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about contributing to the development and education of children. The position is expected to start ASAP.
The role is required for 5 days per week from 08:30-15:30. The candidate is expected to provide learning support to pupils.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Assist in the preparation and delivery of daily lessons.
- Provide support to individual students or small groups to help them understand the material and complete their tasks.
- Work under the guidance of the class teacher to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Help manage classroom resources and setup for activities.
- Supervise students during non-classroom times including lunch and recess as needed.
- Contribute to the monitoring and recording of student progress.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Must hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
- Experience in a similar role within a school setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with children.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
