Join a leading international professional services firm as a fully Qualified Tax and Partnerships Manager. This role is recognized at the highest levels of the firm and offers a dynamic work environment where you can make a substantial impact.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Prepare partnership tax computations for the firm and UK subsidiary entities.
- Assist with all areas of tax compliance and monitor variances between partner tax reserves and tax liabilities.
- Administer the partner capital process, liaising with partners and the firm's bank.
- Maintain and reconcile partner general ledger accounts.
- Communicate with partners about individual balances and address queries from partners or their tax advisers.
- Work with partners' tax advisers to reconcile payments due to HMRC.
- Reconcile historic tax reserve balances for all existing partners.
- Support the Payroll Team with partner drawings calculations and employer end-of-year returns.
- Liaise with the firm's tax advisers to determine overseas filing requirements and assist with registration and ongoing compliance.
- Support the Tax Team with tax queries from various parts of the business, including withholding tax and employee mobility queries.
- Stay updated on changes in the tax environment and present considerations to management.
- Maintain best practices in tax risk management.
- Identify systems improvement opportunities for existing processes and controls, driving positive change.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant/tax advisor (ACA, ACCA, ATT, CTA) or equivalent.
- Experience in Partnership and/or Personal Tax, preferably within a law firm or practice. International tax experience is beneficial.
- Strong understanding of tax reporting and financial analysis.
- Experience dealing with advisors and auditors at both Group and component levels.
- Proficient in working with wider finance functions.
- Strong Excel/data analysis skills, with the ability to manage and manipulate high volumes of data.
- Aderant and SQL experience is beneficial but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships.
- Organized, analytical, pragmatic, methodical, inquisitive, curious, highly articulate, and numerate.
- Flexible and adaptable, comfortable with ambiguity as the business grows and evolves.
- Comfortable working with different cultures.
- Personable, hands-on, driven, and determined to succeed with a can-do attitude.
- A team player capable of solving complex issues independently.
