We are looking for new supply teachers to join our expert education team! Are you located in or near Gosport and looking for a supply teaching role?

Location: Gosport, Hampshire.

Job Type: full time or part time.

Pay: £130 to £220 a day.

Start date: ASAP.

About the role: As a cover teacher, you would provide essential support by stepping in to cover classes when regular teachers are absent. Working times are usually 08:30-15:30; we are open to being flexible with what days you’d choose to work, so we can suit your timetable. This role requires flexibility, strong classroom management skills, the ability to engage students in meaningful learning experiences, always maintain a safe environment, and being able to adapt to different classroom atmospheres and school’s expectations. You should be an adaptable, social individual, since there are many different personalities and each class you’d cover is different!

Key Responsibilities:
  • Delivering pre-planned lessons and ensuring continuity of learning.
  • Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.
  • Adapting to different subjects and grade levels as needed.
  • Collaborating with other staff members to support student needs.
  • Providing feedback on student progress and any issues encountered.
  • Being able to reliably commute to Gosport/surrounding areas.
Requirements for the role:
  • Hold QTS/NQT status in the UK or a teaching qualification from your country of origin.
  • Hold a DBS on the update service or be prepared to undertake a new one.
  • Teaching experience in a Primary or Secondary school.
  • Be prepared to cover a multitude of subjects.
  • The right to work within the UK.
  • Overseas police check if you have lived outside of the UK for over 6 months in the last 5 years.
  • Obtainable references from schools you have previously worked at within the last 5 years.
